We hope you are all well and slowly getting used to life in quarantine!
At Kiki Kirby Coaching & Consultancy, we wanted to go through some of our top tips for coping with self-isolation and still being productive in these turbulent times.
It’s important to try to keep some normality in the world we’re living in currently, even just to take your mind off what’s worrying you.
So here’s our top tips for you:
Stick to a routine!
This is so crucial right now, and even if it’s not your normal working routine, maintaining some structure will keep you grounded and able to recognise work and relax hours. So, still get up at a reasonable time, have a shower and get dressed to be ready for the day, whatever that may look like for you.
Limit the amount of news that you consume
There’s not much positivity in the media right now, understandably. Therefore, to spend lots of time reading it will cause feelings of anxiety. Instead try and limit it to perhaps the daily update from government only. We’re in control of what we consume and keeping positive in times like these are essential.
Learn something new
What a great opportunity it is now to do something that’s always been on your list but you’ve never got round to! Whether you pick up the guitar, communicate in a new language or do a home workout, how amazing that we have time to focus on something different to enhance our skillset… what have you always wanted to try?
Improve your skillset
Now is your chance to look over your CV and see if there’s any gaps you can fill that would be helpful for your career. There are so many online courses that you can take to upskill or develop some new competencies. It could even be a time to reflect on your current career situation, and to think about what other opportunities you may want to follow that align with your purpose and calling in life!
If you would like to talk further with us in this time, we offer a complimentary 20-minute call for you to discuss a problem or question that you may have.
This is our time to slow-down, find calmness and plan to reach our full potential…
So to end off…
A challenge for you today…
To start with, write a list of every negative thought or behaviour you’ve experienced.
Then, replace it to a positive statement and watch your mindset transform!
It’s what we all need right now…
Positivity is the way forward in these times, don’t let negativity take over!
Please let us know how you’ve found this activity and if there’s anything you need help with!
